"Sometimes A Hero" is my third tribute song for my dad.


THE BACKSTORY

My parents split when I was 7. Because my dad and I were always close, I chose to stay with him, and my older brother initially chose to live with my mom. For the most part, it was just my dad and I while I was growing up. He was a Vietnam Veteran that loved Jesus, had a love for music, and loved computer programming. He played guitar, and introduced the instrument to my brother and I. He mostly kept to himself, despite many people being drawn to him. Often times we would both be sitting at our desks working on our computers. He led me to the Lord when I was 9, and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly when I was 18. This song is not only a tribute, but also a story of how I grew up, and the man that influenced me the most. I hope it blesses you!
